We are Dr. Steven Finch and Jeanna Finch, and we are very passionate about helping people reach their health goals! For many years we have specialized in weight loss coaching, and we also work with those who want to implement a health and wellness vision, making lifestyle changes that support quality nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and enjoying life.
Steve is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, Weight Loss Expert, and Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. He conducted his doctoral research on a paleo template and its effects on obesity. His passion for functional nutrition and educating clients so they have lifelong tools to work with is evident in the work he does.
Jeanna is an ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach and Certified Yoga Teacher who loves the spirit of behavioral change through health coaching - helping the client tap into their own strengths and values to implement a wellness plan for themselves, with her acting as a guide and partner through the journey.
Together we feel we bring a unique combination to our approach, creating a true partnership with our clients and staying with them every step of the way. We will not let you fail!
Steve worked in the administrative side of healthcare for years. After losing his mother due to complications from diabetes, he realized his role in healthcare could no longer be behind the scenes. He went back to school and started a whole new career, beginning as a personal trainer 16 years ago, then moving into clinical exercise physiology, a doctorate with a focus on obesity science, and rounding it out with a masters in clinical nutrition. His work is inspired by the belief that we can take back control of our health and live the full life we are all meant to have. We just need the tools to get there!
Jeanna had her own health challenges many years ago. It took several years and lots of persistence to finally figure out she had a serious non-celiac gluten sensitivity that was making her sick - poor gut health, abdominal pain, chronic migraines, nutrient deficiencies, and immune issues. Seeing how her dietary changes truly transformed her own health was inspiring and began a journey that has spanned the last 15 years. She also has Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), an autoimmune condition, and is a passionate advocate for the benefits of eating an anti-inflammatory diet (she follows AIP - autoimmune protocol paleo). Food is at the root of disease, but it is also at the root of health - it all depends on the choices we make, and she is here to help each client find out what works for them and how to feel their best!
