About me

About meMara’s gentle therapeutic touch addresses tight muscles, range-of-motion limitations, somatic and neuromuscular issues. Initially certified in massage therapy by Dr. Harley Goldberg (historically, Lauren Berry's "right-hand man") in 1980, she continues to expand her knowledge base of complimentary medicine systems, integrating the principles with a wide range of massage modalities. The resulting process utilizes specific pressure points with continuous motion. Therapeutic skills include Ortho-bionomy, Swedish and Thai massage, yoga therapy, and Cranial-sacral rebalancing, combined with myofascial release techniques.

The session begins with slow pressure along specific meridians, followed by long strokes to the major muscle groups, to identify and correct alignment issues, tension patterns, scar tissue, spasms, and congestion. Gradually the focus of intensity narrows into more specific connective and muscle tissues, utilizing positional release techniques and movements for increasing circulation. The session is completed with full-body re-patterning.
