About me
"
As a passionate yoga practitioner with over a decade of experience, I am dedicated to guiding retired women on a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Through my teachings, I aim to help my clients increase their body awareness and confidently explore their physical capabilities.
My journey has taken me across the globe, from the vibrant streets of Rajasthan, India, where I immersed myself in the study of Vedantic philosophy, to the serene landscapes of Vancouver, BC, where I completed my yoga instructor certification under the guidance of renowned teacher Sadie Lawrence at Jadayoga.
Drawing from my diverse background, which includes a Master of Divinity degree in theology from the Vancouver School of Theology, training as a spiritual director, and a career as a speech-language pathologist, I bring a unique perspective to my yoga practice. I combine my understanding of feminist and Third World theologies, the power of silent reflection, and the principles of brain plasticity to create a holistic approach tailored to the needs of each individual.
Beyond the mat, I am a passionate advocate for human rights, having dedicated years to working with Amnesty International. This commitment to social justice and equality informs my teaching philosophy, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
