Indy Healing Center
Acupuncture, Chinese Energy Medicine, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qigong
My gateway to healing began with traditional Western Medicine. In 2003, I graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. I completed residency in Family Medicine at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in 2006. During the next two years I expanded my family and practiced Family Medicine through two volunteer clinics in the Indianapolis area. In 2008, I began practicing in a concierge medical practice.
Through an emotional awakening in my own life, I became aware of the deep connections between the mind and body. I began to explore these connections with my patients, which opened a new direction for healing. It was also during this time that my family moved from the midwest to the east coast. My professional journey began with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. I started teaching Mind-Body Skills groups in 2008 and became a Certified Practitioner of Mind-Body Medicine in 2011.
To explore deeper healing to the level of spirit, I began training in Tao of Medical Qigong with completion of certification in 2010. When I experienced the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine through the Tao of Medical Qigong, I felt drawn to pursue acupuncture training to bring this invaluable healing art to my patients. I completed medical acupuncture training in 2009. In April 2011, I became a certified Dragon’s Way ® Instructor. In 2013, I completed a year long apprenticeship with Nan Lu, OMD of the Tao of Healing in New York City a Master of Taoist Chinese Medicine. 2013 also brought my family full circle with a return to the heartland, Indiana.
My view of Western and Eastern Medicine is like the symbol of the Yin/Yang. They in some ways are opposites; however, they contain elements of each other, balance, and support each other. This reflects my holistic approach to your health and healing.

During our first visit we will explore the fullest picture of your medical journey by seeing the symptoms and events through the lens of Five Element Consciousness and the Meridian Network. This allows you to recognize the body, mind, and Spirit connections that are arising to guide you! Everything in Chinese Medicine is about opening flow so the body can heal itself. We will support this in your first session with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and energy exercises.
In 2007, I developed a constellation of physical and emotional symptoms ranging from allergies, recurrent sinusitis, digestive imbalance, and asthma to anxiety/depression and insomnia. At this same time, I was immersed in an intense emotional awakening in my life. My healing journey lead me to a Taoist Master that revealed "At the Spiritual level there is no disease or illness. There is only undiscovered purpose." All symptoms have a message / guidance. The key to wellness lies within.
