Craniosacral Introductory Session
Craniosacral Treatment (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. CST provides relief from a variety of symptoms including headaches, neck pain, side effects of cancer treatments, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma (includes, birth, childhood injuries, repetitive motion injuries, car accidents, falling accidents, injuries, and stress related events), PTSD, stress tension-related disorders, scoliosis, central nervous system disorders, orthopedic problems, among many others. The focus of CST is a gentle placement of hands to assist release of the body's connective tissue, or fascia.
Fascia (Latin word for "band") is a covering found throughout the body including organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, brain and spinal cord. This covering forms a body-wide connective network.
The human body is interconnected, a synergistic whole. As such, our bodies should be treated as a whole and not as individual systems. CST organizes the human body. CST empowers the body to create balance and brings sustainability and strength to one's health.
What can I expect from a CST session?
The treatment begins with a detailed consultation to identify troubled areas and a picture will be taken. Low lighting and possible soft music will be used to increase your state of relaxation.
