After leaving a bad marriage of 9 years, I walked away from it feeling free and like I was unscathed by it all.
Until it hit me like a brick wall... the whole entire marriage wasn't just bad, it was abusive.
I thought I was doing okay and moving on, but 6 months later my hairdresser told me I was losing too much hair and told me to go see a doctor.
It turned out that the mental and sexual abuse I had received had left me with PTSD. I was offered prescribed medication but turned it down due to my sensitivities.
