Integrative Bodyworx
Fitness trainer & massage therapist specializing in natural pain relief, injury prevention and special populations; Also Reiki Master Teacher & health coach. I offer 12 week transformation programs.
I am an Usui and Holy Fire lll Reiki Master. I focus on incorporating the elements of our planet into our health and wellbeing, with a specific emphasis on therapeutic properties of water and raising our vibration to the energy that connects us all. Whether it is a moist hot towel, a therapy pool, or the sounds of the ocean, water has the power to cleanse, heal and change our vibration. Water supports us and resists us in a perfect ebb and flow.
My formal education consists of many personal training and group fitness certifications through AAAI/ISMA, FiTour/ACE, NASM/The Rush, Aaron Mattes, TCM student, and ACSM. I also have my Bachelor's from Western State Colorado University in Exercise and Sport Science. Before returning to school to finish my Bachelors, however, I went to massage therapy school and immediately following graduation at the Center for Rehabilitative Education (C.O.R.E.) Massage Institute, pursued a 10 month structural re-integration, active release, Active Isolated Stretching, and neuromuscular therapy study.
Services include: Massage and bodywork, personal training, health coaching, energy healing, meditations, workshops and much more. Servicing the entire San Francisco Bay and Lake Tahoe area plus our furry friends as well. Canine Reiki and massage are now available. Virtual, in-home and clinic services available
As an athlete growing up and throughout adulthood, I suffered from many injuries and medical conditions over the years, without much relief from traditional medicine. this is what originally led me to pursue a career in exercise and sport sciences. In an effort to pay it forward and educate the public and my patients on self care, I like to focus my practice on sports and medical therapies such as: natural pain relief; corrective therapeutic exercise; athletic recovery and conditioning; sinus, migraine and TMJ dysfunction; and flexibility for injury prevention. Some of my best work has been with golf swings, "frozen shoulder", swimmers, hockey players, dancers and gymnasts
In your first appointment before your massage or personal training we will go through your intake form. I thoroughly look through your medical history, nutrition, sleep, sleep stressors, lifestyle, exercise pain, and/ or pathologies depending on the treatment needed.
Just as there are many different types of doctors and medical specialist, there are also many different styles of massage and bodywork. Massage can relieve aches and pains, not just relax you. I believe in combining complementary therapies that aim to treat the source of the problem - not just the symptoms.
