Your immune system! There are many roads to a strong immune system- I personally use essential oils diffused, internally, and topically every day! Also, your emotional health plays a key. Contact me if you're interested in learning how that works.

Hello there! I am Kat. I was born to this planet to help people in a profound way. Mentoring and healing practices are my methods.

A major contributing factor to being healthy is our mental outlook on life. Do we socialize? Are we frequently angry or sad or fearful? Negative emotions attach to our overall wellbeing. The firing neurons in our brain slow down, also slowing our immune system. Changing our outlook to life is key to building our immune system back up.
How do we achieve this? Through methodical approaches that probe into our emotions to find out where they started and how they are still occuring. And, through re-programming the emotions to face challenges more easily - again leading to an overall better wellbeing.

I practice NeuroLinguistic Programming and Emotional Wisdom Training that has become the science-backed and artful practice of coaching. I invite you to try it out and see if it works for you.
Make an appointment with me and I will work with you with kindness, friendliness, and curiosity.

Vitamin D is really important (as are some other vitamins and nutrients), but I JUST did a blog on Vitamin D and cited some studies that might interest you :) http://newdaynsa.com/2020/04/16/this-should-probably-be-as-high-a-priority-as-hand-washing/

I would say just keeping your immunity high and your stress and anxiety low. One way that has helped me is by performing anti-stress related techniques. Some that I perform are meditation, breath work, as well as distance reiki and energy healing. I have a few youTube videos if you'd like to see, or you can contact me directly as I love to help people relief stress through yoga, breath work, and meditation.

Feeling calm is the most important defense, being that stress can trigger disease on it's own.

1) Boost Immune system - many ideas below; 2) Make your body a hostile environment for pathogens - garlic/honey mentioned is good - take it daily 3) Avoid getting sick by following distancing rules, using gloves and mask when visiting stores for essentials, and disinfecting everything that comes in from outside.

There are stronger ways to boost immune and make your body a hostile environment in Chinese herbal medicine but they are not so easy to get.

Supplements you can take to improve a stabilized immune response to coronaviruses. It will help your body contain the inflammation, prevent cytokine storms during immune response, protect the epithelial cells of the lungs, etc:

Vitamin C
Vitamin D3
Selenium
Zinc
Curcumin
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine
DHA Omega-3
Magnesium
Apigenin

I would recommend at least sourcing these supplements from Solgar or Solaray, which can usually be found at natural/organic foods market like Sprouts or Whole Foods. Or order online from Life Extension or Douglas Laboratories. These brands, among some others, make a usable, bio-available, potent, if nutriceutical-grade product. You can go especially take a large amount of Vitamin C and D3. Keep in mind, your body can produce as much as 10,000-15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol if you get as much as 30 minutes of direct skin contact with sunlight, each day.

Avoid consuming dairy products and simple carbohydrates, ie - agave, sugar, corn syrup, breads, pastas, starch, potatoes, sweets, ice cream, etc. Avoid consuming foods high in Omega-6 fatty acids. Avoid drinking alcohol.

Get enough sleep; your body heals, repairs, and recovers during sleep. Drink plenty of water. If you weigh 200 lbs, drink roughly 100 fl. oz. of water. If you weigh 150 lbs, drink about 75 fl. oz. of water, and so forth.

It's important to keep a positive mental state as well, and reduce your mental and emotional stress levels. Chronic stress leads to chronically high cortisol levels, which will affect the effectiveness of your immune system.

To strengthen your immune system and bolster overall wellness, do some deep breathing. We take approximately 2000 breaths per day. Don't you agree that anything we do that often should be done in the most beneficial way? Here are just a few of the benefits of deep 3-part breathing: helps your relax; increases oxygen intake; releases toxins from the body; reduces the the affects of the stress hormone, cortisol; lowers your heart rate and blood pressure, which reduces anxiety; helps you cope with stress, improves your body's ability to cope with exercises; and improves longevity. The yogis say our life is measured in a certain number of breaths. The slower we breathe, the longer, and more healthfully, we live! See my video on deep breathing at: https://youtu.be/Aer9C6gY3eo

Adding to the answers here, I'd say getting moderate cardio exercise to keep the lungs working, as well as hydration, good sleep, and lots of fruits and veggies with minimal intake of simple sugars and alcohol. Be well everyone!

An additional tool: Your point of view creates your reality. What point of view do you have about you and the corona virus? If you worry about getting sick, you are lowering your immune system and stand a good chance of making it real. If you choose to not get sick, you strengthen your immune system.

I agree with Joy as well, in addition to that I would like to add the importance of getting enough vitamin D (either from the Sun or in a supplemental form) it maximizes nutrient absorption and plays a key role in overall immune system strength. Also prioritize your sleep, its the best way to make sure your body recovers and removes toxins naturally, it also affects ALL other bodily systems. Hope you find this useful!

Washing your hands often with soap and warm water-- thoroughly (between fingers, under fingernails, on the backs of hands)-- is vital to staying healthy (always). Especially when you've been out and about. Be mindful of touching public surfaces with your hands-- doors, counters, key pads, ATMs, gasoline dispensers, bathroom handles & faucets, etc-- and use a paper towel, or your foot, hip, elbow when possible-- and try to keep your hands off of your face.

Immunity-boosting and antiviral foods & supplements will be very helpful, such as: raw garlic, zinc/zinc lozenges, Nano Silver (I like Argentyn 23-- 1 tsp 2x/day), Iodine, Vit D (at least 2,000 IU's/day), Vit C complex (as much as you can take before diarrhea), Red Marine Algae (extremely anti-viral), Vit A (25,000 IU daily-- but not meant for long term use), Organic green juices,
Licorice Root is helpful for the lungs (tea or tincture). As Joy AE Dennis shared, essential oils are great, too.
Some general tips: If you can, get outdoors for 20-30 minutes/day to absorb direct and/or indirect sunlight. The best times are before 9:00 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. in the winter, or after 6:00 p.m. in the summer. Try to practice allowing the full-spectrum sunlight to enter your eyes by not wearing sunglasses during this time (don't look into the sun, of course). The sun is the most powerful immune system builder! If you can, put yourself in or near oxygen-rich environments such as oceans, forests, running streams, or greenhouses—and breathe deeply! Drink plenty of filtered water. Eat lots of antioxidant-rich fruits and veggies. Avoid microwaved and fried foods-- they can suppress the immune system! Get moderate exercise and plenty of sleep. Rest. Meditate, pray, and reduce stress in general. If you have access to an Infrared Sauna, use it! Keep a smile on your face, practice Gratitude, surround yourself with love & positivity, spend time doing things that bring you joy, and laugh lots!!

Your better emotional health awaits. Don't let negative emotions such as anxiety, stress, grief, anger, or other negative situations such as trauma, depression, PTSD, emotional eating hold you back.

I agree with Joy AE Dennis. In addition, I use EFT tapping daily to anchor a healthy immune system as well as drinking boiled ginger & honey water/green tea. Both honey and ginger have antioxidant properties that increase the strength of the immune system.

Empowerment starts with self knowing. As you gain a deep understanding of yourself, you can make changes and choices that lead to transformation. I will support you as you follow your path to power.

Keeping your immune system strong is key. Limit your stressors, get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. Adding essential oils to your daily routine can help too. I like to use them in a diffuser around my house, I choose oils that are good for combating bacteria and viruses and purifying the air. A good synergistic blend is one like Thieves, which I also use in my natural household cleaners. ( use any brand of EO that you prefer)
I also recommend drinking bone broth, which is high in essential minerals and system building nutrients, plus added hydration. Limit your sugar intake, sugar weakens your overall system. Try to focus on foods that are nutrient dense so that you are deeply nourishing your body. This is not a time to do a detox which can weaken the system.
Of course, keep washing your hands, limit antibacterial soaps or santitizers, as they are not any more effective than regular soap and warm water.
Stay positive!
