Lichen Sclerosis is a tricky one. It really depends on the level of scarring present. You can actually re-hydrate the skin if it is not "white and firm" by increasing estrogen or using topical creams to restore skin plasticity (there is am eye cream I typically have my clients try- seems strange but the micro-nutrients are very beneficial). Typically Lichen Sclerosis is associated with autoimmune disorders so reducing inflammation or putting the immune disorder into remission will also reduce symptoms. An OBGYN I work with stated improvements with 300 mg of grape seed extract three times daily, in addition to a foundation vitamin, mineral, and fish oil foundation. He would definitely suggest the full autoimmune disease protocol for this condition. Sending much health and happiness

I am sorry to hear that you have this condition, just know that it can be managed. Reducing stress has been found to be very effective. Meditation, breathing exercises, hypnosis and other options can help greatly. You should also look into reducing foods that cause inflammation. For many people these are grains. Other foods can create inflammation. Physically, dabbing lightly when you use toilet paper and not wearing underpants can make a difference. Inserting, gently a dildo will allow your vagina to stay open with less pain. You might try coconut oil (test on a small area.) It does take trail and error to discover what works best for you. Test slowly the different options and suggestions.

Yes, when I'm working with patient with lichen sclerosus, I look at improving pelvic circulation and reducing stagnancy. This stagnancy can be due to an over-solicited sympathetic nervous system and chronic stress, from muscle tension, from exercise and sitting patterns and from hormonal patterns. As Marian said, reducing foods that contribute to inflammation is useful, and somewhat individual for each person. I also use herbal washes and infused oils topically to provide both symptom reduction and tissue healing.

I help people with diagnosed illness(es) implement their treatment plan effortlessly so they can regain their health quickly.

So with any inflammatory condition like this there are a few foundational things that need to happen. You need to address your gut health (leaky gut), eat an anti-inflammatory diet (I have found a paleo approach to be the best one), make sure you are getting enough sleep, consistently, and reduce your stress as much as possible. (Meditation for 5 minutes daily helps mitigate stress extremely well and doesn't take much time.)
