Slowing down and relaxing your physical body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces the chemicals produced for "fight or flight" that comes along with anxiety. Try a gentle or restorative yoga class (or practice at home) and see how you feel.


Yes, but grounding yourself through diet would be better. Focus on warming foods and make sure you are getting enough minerals - deficiency being a contributing physical factor to anxiety. It's not healthy to have any and yoga will only keep it at bay without the right complementary dietary habits involved elsewhere.
