I’ve noticed that my back hurts only when I don’t get enough movement. What exercises do you think might help most with back pain?

Lots of options! My favorite, easy to do exercise is to walk. Other exercises I suggest include yoga, pilates, Tai Chi, dancing, and hiking. The key is to choose what you like to do and that work well in your schedule so you can develop a habit.


Love to walk the dogs, ski the beautiful Pacific Northwest and elsewhere.

Movement is key. When it comes to pain, somatics exercises are excellent since they target the brain to reset tension levels and produce pleasurable feelings.
