Eat clean. If you just have a garden variety cold you don't really have to do anything specific other than that.
The best vitamins would be obtained through your food. If you eat a very clean diet with a lot of produce you should not need a specific skin supplement. Also make sure you are drinking adequate water for your body weight.
What is different between the 2?
I have a retreat this spring if you are interested. https://www.melodybrooke.net/dancing-in-flow-retreat
Do you want to eliminate it entirely? It's good to start the morning with lemon water. Caffeine is not a bad thing but you can definitely overdo it.
I think you would see relief with applying topically some CBD creams. It has been universally helpful for all neuralgic issues.
Mike: IBS is a "functional" GI illness, meaning that the structure and overall gut health is in order. The two most common issues are disturbed gut flora (often from too much antibiotic treatment in childhood) and history of stress/trauma, which given your physical issues, seems reasonable to assume. In addition to seeing a natural MD for guidance in enhancing your gut microbiome, I suggest clinical hypnosis, which is demonstrated in research to be HIGHLY effective in curing IBS. https://www.med.unc.edu/ibs/files/educational-gi-handouts/IBS%20and%20Hypnosis.pdf
Edgar Cayce recommended a tablespoon of Glycothymoline (watered down) three times a day to alkalinize the body to lessen allergic reactions. I know it's quite unconventional, but Cayce's remedies has worked wonders for decades for many people. If you decide to give it a shot, make sure you buy the original Glycothymoline (yes, it's a mouthwash) and take it for several days before trying to introduce any allergens to your body. Best of luck! Keep me posted on your success!
These meds can wreak havoc on your system - especially PPIs. You should do an elimination diet and determine if you have food sensitivities. You should also see your provider and ensure there is nothing that would otherwise need a further workup.
Ice and heat?
do a low oxalate diet
It's good to test rather than guess about what your microbiome is doing. A good comprehensive stool analysis sounds like the next step.
I have MUCH experience with alternative and holistic therapies having been on a cancer journey myself for over a year now. I am well familiar with an amazing network of highly skilled holistic docs in Tijuana
just over the border from San Diego. Am happy to offer a free initial consult and share Mexico contacts who offer free consults. In my practice I also work with clearing the underlying unconscious belief systems that eventually mainifest as critical illnesses. I do this in my office as well as remotely. [email protected]
Hi Steph11, we do the 23andMe testing as well as genetic guidance for those that have had the testing done.
How old is your friends daughter?
If you have hypothyroidism, there will be other symptoms other than weight gain: https://www.endocrineweb.com/conditions/hypothyroidism/symptoms-hypothyroidism. I've been on both ends of the spectrum myself and also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I get my thyroid regulated by a naturopath :)
Hey Nancy. I haven't personally dealt with this but met many others that been helped by a nutraceutical (actually its a Nrf2 activator, not just a supplement) having wonderful results. I can connect you with them via Facebook or send you screenshots of their stories if youd like to text or email me. Good luck, and God Bless!
Absolutely. Too much exercise can overwork adrenals. Exercise is perceived by the body as a form of stress and stimulates the release of cortisol. In general, the more your fitness improves the better the body becomes at dealing with physical stress. This means that less cortisol will be released during exercise and also in response to emotional or psychological stresses. So you want to ease into a fitness plan.
If I have a client who shows high cortisol levels in lab testing, we start very slow with fitness. Exercise reduces levels of certain hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that are the body's natural painkillers and mood elevators.
Yes they can! When we are born, we have Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), Platelets, Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cells. These cells all work in concert to help us grow and heal. Every time we got a cut or broken bone as a child, platelets and MSCs would rush to the site to initiate the healing process. MSCs do not regenerate like platelets or red blood cells; by the time you are in your early 20’s, you have used up most of your MSCs. The MSCs that remain work more slowly and you heal more slowly. Stem Cell Therapy uses MSCs from your own fat, your own bone marrow or from the umbilical cords of healthy babies delivered by C-section – a voluntary process using a donated tissue that would normally be discarded. The MSCs (and/or platelets) are extracted and concentrated. These concentrated cells are injected into the painful, damaged joint. The MSCs and platelets initiate the healing process, instructing cartilage and other cells of the joint to grow and heal the joint. Your joint becomes healthier and you have little to no pain.
Gastrointestinal conditions often stem from improper eating habits and not adhering to natural laws. While herbs, enzymes, and similar supplements can provide relief, they typically address symptoms rather than the root cause. I advocate for the body's self-healing capabilities and focus on addressing the underlying cause of the problem, supplemented by natural organic whole foods as needed for the healing process. A holistic approach that includes diet, lifestyle adjustments, and understanding digestion's fundamental principles is crucial for achieving complete recovery.
