What are some of the benefits or side effects of craniosacral therapy?

An honored body can move with ease, has sustainable energy and is able to process stress efficiently.
Susan's answer is incredibly thorough and accurate. The list of direct benefits of CranioSacral Therapy is extensive, and positive "side effects" can usually be related back to the release of restrictions in the tissues surrounding the central nervous system. I too have never heard of negative side effects from CranioSacral Therapy. I have had clients say they felt drowsy, or "not themselves" in the 24 hours after a session, but with a little rest that usually subsides and they experience a sense of release (either physically or emotionally).
A light touch healing used with crystals and aromatherapy, provides a gentle, deep approach quieting the mind, relaxing the body, settling the nervous system, opening the heart for greater well-being.
CranioSacral Therapy is able to calm and bring balance to the craniosacral system which literally encompasses the everything from the top of the head to the sacrum where we sit. This system nourishes our nervous system thus our entire body. CranioSacral Therapy is a whole body treatment that provides the environment to allow the body to self correct and balance itself on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. It is able to alleviate pain, stress, tension, calms the nervous system, improves numerous disorders, accelerates healing of the body and promotes wellness. The only side effects may be related to contraindications of acute illness related to a stroke or an aneurysm where there is an acute breach in the spinal fluid system. I know of no side effects of CranioSacral Therapy. It is a very gentle, non-invasive treatment that assist the body in healing itself.
