Warm baths and soaks can sometimes relax the area enough to allow the tissue to go back to it's original positioning. if you could learn to relax the area the organ is pushing through you may stand a chance of accomplishing something yourself. afterwards i'd recommend strength training to support the weak tissue so in the future it doesn't happen again.
This is a long answer not just including meds. Lifestyle habits come into play as well. You’re welcome to shoot me a text or call if you like and I can help you out.
I truly agree with all the modalities listed. Another idea you may want to pursue is looking at how you are using yourself in your daily activities. Seek out an Alexander technique teacher in your area to help you find your habitual poor use during activity and teach you healthier ways to sit, stand and move.
Go on the American Society of Alexander Teachers and find someone near you.
Hey Mason!
Bummer about your back pain. Short answer: Yes.
In my experience though, low back pain is caused more by inactive glutes and core muscles than it is by tight hip flexors. Hip mobility is also a potential cause but lets start with the former.
The psoas gets a lot of attention because it is literally attached to the spine so it makes sense to say that if it's tight, it's pulling on the spine and causing pain. We tend to blame sitting but when most people sit, they sit with a posteriorly tilted pelvis which basically means: Ya slouchin. sitting with "good" posture actually shortens and asks more of the hip flexors than "bad" posture because of the tension required to stay upright.
In general, you want to be aware of WHEN your back hurts. Is it after sitting for a long time?- Probably do some core activation.
Simply lay down on your back and bring your knees towards your chest until you feel your abs turn on. This is a reflexive activation that we are born with and happens automatically. Then, roll your tail bone up off the ground to get a little more, and breathe into your stomach. If you can't breathe, back it off a little bit. We don't need a ton of tension here. Our backs don't hurt because they're weak, they hurt because they're doing all the work.
Does it hurt more after standing?-probably look at glute activation. Because larger glutes are the evolutionary adaptation that allows us to stand upright. Ever seen a monkey's butt? Not a lot of junk in that trunk.
Just lay down on your back, squeeze your abs, press your feet into the ground and do a glute bridge. There are plenty of videos on youtube for this. if you still can't feel your glutes, Try foam rolling your inner thigh and calves and try again. Still nothing? Find someone who does Neurokinetic therapy and they'll help you turn them on. It'll blow your mind.
Hope this helps!
I struggled with Raynaud's until my mid twenties and then had it completely reversed by regular infrared sauna therapy! Do a search for far infrared sauna therapy near you to see if there is a local center that has one you can use. Many studies with infrared sauna therapy have shown improvement in circulation. See here for more details: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5941775/ Another idea is to consume high quality cacao (ideally organic and shade grown in it's native environment such as Central and South America). I like the products from TerraSoul.com. Multiple studies have shown that cacao can increase NO (nitric oxide) in the blood which dialates the blood vessels and should help with blood flow to your extremities. See this study for more details: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5539137/ Hope that helps!
Starting a daily meditation and journaling practice really helps the brain get into the right Headspace. Going out in nature for a brisk walk while you are observing nature around you in a child-like inquisitive manner. Maybe even look for cool stuff to take pictures of.
Hello
Homeopathy can help!
Getting up early can be hard, especially when you know you have to roll out of bed and out the door on a run! I try to think about how amazing I am going to feel after the run to remind myself that it is always worth it. It is also really important to remember to focus on getting adequate sleep. It is never worth depriving yourself of sleep in order to exercise. Adults should aim to get on average 7-9 hours of sleep per night, whatever makes you feel the best.
Remember to get outside and play, and meditate, and eat well but don't be strict with yourself. Sleep is important! If you don't get something the first time, that is OK- it will come again in a new way that maybe makes more sense.
Creating a good night time routine can also help you sleep better, which will require less time spent in bed. Avoiding artificial blue light (phones, tv, tablets, etc..) for an hour before bed can do wonders. Also, look at magnesium supplementation roughly an hour or two before bed. I've found this to be very helpful.
Another thing to consider is brain frequencies and patterns. Ongoing stress and trauma cause the brain to go into 'survival' mode, making adjustments to help you get thru a particular situation. However, it can then get 'stuck' in a trauma pattern and cause undo anxiety.
People who deal with panic/anxiety are often sympathetic dominant (right side or fight/flight) in their brains OR their higher, faster moving frequencies may be overactivated which makes it harder to relax. Since the brain is the master controller and impacting all areas of our lives it is a great place to start. As Dr. Daniel Amen says: 'When the brain works right you work right, when the brain is troubled you often have trouble in your life.'
The only true medically effective way to consume marijuana is sublingually. Other wise it doesn't pass the blood brain barrier. THC may have hormonal consequences in that it stimulates the opposite effect based on your gender. Males produce more estrogen and in Females it tends to do the opposite stimulating the testosterone hormone. you usually look for a full spectrum sublingual thats a minimum of 1to2 ratio THC to CBD. taking on average 10ml to every 5kg of weight. When you get down to the financial aspect of it. It can be quite a pricy treatment protocol as you can imagine.

Hi herecomesthesun iffequ16798!
I love tea! My favorite teas are from Maharishi Ayurveda. I love their "Worry Free Tea" as well as their "Vata tea" both are stress reducing! Use my link: https://www.mapi.com/products/herbal-beverages/ayurvedic-teas/worry-free-tea.html?partner=KrystleLiggins-HP#
There "Worry Free" Supplements are awesome too!
I also enjoy chamomile an hour before bed.

I'm loving all of these responses, and I agree with all of them so far. My partner used to struggle with palmar hyperhidrosis, and now that it is gone I can safely say that in her case, it was likely caused by anxiety.
She went through the Total Body Modification (TBM) Autonomic Recovery Program (ARP), which is the primary program that I utilize in my practice. TBM utilizes a combination of diet and lifestyle counseling and hands-on body/energywork to turn on the body's self-healing mechanisms so it can fix itself.
This drastically helped her anxiety in all areas of her life, including her sweaty palms.
While I know that life isn't as simple as "cure anxiety", it really depends on what the underlying cause is, and that can be difficult to determine without a one-on-one session with a holistic practitioner.
If seeking out a practitioner isn't an option, remember the basics! Drink plenty of water, get good sleep, breathe clean air, eat nourishing food, and have healthy, fulfilling relationships.
My health vision is to maximize my whole health. That is not only physical exercise, but the food I eat, what I feed my spiritual self, the relationships in my life and also being mindful of the environment I live in.
I think a standing desk is great way to work with integrating more continuous daily movement. I've been standing while working for many years. It took some time to work up to being able to stand the entire day, but now I can't imagine anything different. Keep in mind your metabolism doubles from sitting to standing yielding improvements in focus and energy. There are a lot of great desk options out there. Good luck!

Hi Geri, what a great question!! I'll add from a fellow primal health coach to consume fat/protein before reaching for the carbs. Hit that ham and turkey first. Here's a recent post I wrote with some other tips - https://www.neworiginscoaching.com/tip/working-with-overeating/
